Abstract

The invention discloses a method for testing the stab sensitivity of mechanical initiating explosive devices. The method comprises the following steps that: a mechanical initiating explosive device sample with a standard firing pin is placed at a sample position of a split Hopkinson pressure bar; a bullet strikes an input rod to generate an incident wave; when a stress wave in the input rod reaches the contact surface of the mechanical initiating explosive device sample, due to impedance mismatch, a part of the stress wave is reflected to form a reflected wave while the other part of the stress wave enters a mechanical initiating explosive device and forms a transmitted wave in an output rod; when energy acting on the mechanical initiating explosive device reaches an ignition threshold, the mechanical initiating explosive device acts (burns or explodes); the curves of the incident wave and the reflected wave can be obtained on the input rod, and the ignition time point of the mechanical initiating explosive device can be obtained on the output rod; and ignition energy consumed in the mechanical initiating explosive device can be calculated according to measured incident wave energyand reflected wave energy, and the ignition energy is seldom affected by other factors and has the significance of absolute stab sensitivity. The method of the invention realizes the measurement anddetection of the stab sensitivity of a single mechanical initiating explosive device.
