The power quality adjustment method and a power quality regulator performs wavelet transform on the voltage signal of the power grid, compares the wavelet high frequency coefficient with the set threshold value to determine the start and end time of the grid voltage sudden change. In turn, the series unit is controlled to perform accurate compensation of the voltage signal.
