Abstract

The method comprises the following steps: (1) preparation of a cutting bed: selecting a leakage-proof container as a cutting bed, laying fine river sand at the bottom of the cutting bed, and pouring water to form a water bed; (2) selection of nursery stock: selecting the branches of 1 to 2years-old nursery stock of the salix chaenomeloides and having a diameter of 0.4 to 1.5 cm; (3) preparation of cutting slips; (4) cutting; (5) management after cutting; and (6) nursery stock transplant. The method can fully utilize the hydrophilic characteristics of the salix chaenomeloides, improves the rooting rate of cutting and the seedling survival rate of the salix chaenomeloides hydroponiccutting, overcomes the low rooting rate of cutting of the salix chaenomeloides in the soil, overcomes the problem in the traditional hydroponic cutting that the cutting slips are difficult to fix soas to cause time-consuming and labor-intensive issues, improves the rooting rate of cutting of the salix chaenomeloides to over 90%.
