The system comprises a sending end for acquiring an encryption key and a key identification of the encryption key according to a dynamic key strategy, encrypting media data to be sent according to the encryption key to acquire encrypted media data, encapsulating the encrypted media data and the key identification by using an extended media transmission protocol to acquire a media data packet, and sending the media data packet to a receiving end through a media transmission channel; and the receiving end for acquiring the key identification in the media data packet, acquiring a decryption key corresponding to the encryption key according to the key identification, and decrypting the encrypted media data in the media data packet according to the decryption key to acquire the media data. The technical problem that a video conference is required to be interrupted in need of replacement of the encryption key can be solved; the continuity of a session can be improved; and the key updating efficiency is improved.
