Abstract

The invention provides an electronic device and a call answering method. The electronic device comprises: an outer shell comprising a first surface and a second surface facing to different directions,a first sound transmission hole located on the first surface and a second sound transmission hole located on the second surface; a receiver comprising a sound playing port, wherein the receiver is arranged in the outer shell, and the receiver comprises a first state in which the sound playing port faces to the first sound transmission hole, and a second state in which the sound playing port facesto the second sound transmission hole; and a direction adjustment device connected with the receiver and used for controlling the movement of the receiver and locating the receiver in the first stateor the second state, so that in the case that the electronic device has only one receiver, a user can perform normal voice answering while receiving calls by using different surfaces of the electronic device.
