Abstract

An embodiment of the invention provides a controllable capacitance energy release circuit. When an external power source supplies power normally, a voltage detection device detects electric quantity of a supercapacitor; if the voltage of a supercapacitor module is a rated value, a bidirectional DC-DC converter does not operate, and the supercapacitor module is not charged; if the voltage of a supercapacitor module is lower than the rated value, the bidirectional DC-DC converter operates to charge the supercapacitor module until the rated value is reached. When the external power source fails,a controller detects power failure through an external power failure detector, then the DC-DC converter is started, the supercapacitor module serves as a power source to supply power to a load throughan inverter, and when output voltage of the DC-DC converter is lower than the minimum voltage required by the inverter, outputting is terminated. The problem of serious damages of service lives of supercapacitors due to certain element overcharge caused by direct series connection in charging and discharging in the prior art is solved.
