Abstract

The invention relates to a surface machining method for Fresnel microstructural arrays. The method can be applied to a ultra-precise machine tool with four or above axles; a single-point diamond turning tool is used for machining; and during machining, the turning tool is mounted on a C-axle main shaft, and workpieces are mounted on a Z axle. According to a method of adopting XYC-axle linkage in the machining process and a principle of overlapping the edge direction of the turning tool with the ring tangent direction of Fresnel structures of the workpieces, machine tool XYZ-axle values and C-axle angles corresponding to each circle of trajectory coordinate points of Fresnel subunits on the workpieces are calculated; conversion of cutting points between a workpiece coordinate system and a lathe coordinate system is finished through the method; and complete machining trajectories are generated. Ultra-precise machining of the Fresnel microstructural arrays is realized; and the cutting direction and the speed direction of a cutter relative to the workpieces are consistent with the Fresnel circular tangent direction.
