Abstract

An attachment assembly integrable into the lamp housing and comprising an alcove formed in an outer surface of the housing shell, wherein the alcove is configured to accommodating a fastening unit, the fastening unit is configured to receive a mating member connected to a support structure and the mating member can be locked to the fastening unit, wherein the fastening unit is secured to the housing shell by a self-tapping screw configured drill itself into a part of said polymer housing shell. The invention relates also to an assembly unit where the alcove is formed as a stepped bottom wherea mating recess forms the deepest bottom part, a support recess forms the middle bottom part and the alcove bottom forms an upper bottom part.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to mechanical parts of a luminaire comprising a lamp housing, wherein light sources, electrical components and optical components are arranged such that light is emitted from said housing. The invention relates in particular to a fastening assembly for use at the housing of a luminaire. Background technique [0002] Luminaires are generally known in the field of lighting and are used especially in entertainment lighting. Typically, a luminaire comprises a lamp housing, wherein at least one light source, electrical components and optical components are arranged such that light is emitted from said housing. Competition in the luminaire market has traditionally been based on the optical performance of the luminaire, eg, light output, number of light effects, color mixing, etc. Competition in the market has recently changed such that parameters such as quality, maintainability and price have become more important factors. There is ...
