Abstract

The invention relates to a pipette-tip-accommodating container (1) comprising a box (3) and a cover (4), which in its closed position covers an accommodating opening (12) of the box (3). A positioning device (25) with a plurality of positioning elements (26) is provided on the cover(4). The box (3) is supported on the cover (4) by way of its base (7), wherein, by means of the positioning elements (26), the box (3) is positioned, relative to the standing surface defined by the cover (4), in a placement position for automated sample processing.
