Abstract

The invention discloses an authority setting method and system based on a distributed file system. The method includes: correspondingly and recursively setting a top-layer directory access control list (ACL) of the target file system according to identities of users; and setting a recursive mark bit V of a top-layer directory of the target file system to 1, and recording a setting timestamp to enable a user to start querying from a root path, find recursively set ACL authority of an upper-level directory in sequence and use a latest ACL as an authority querying result according to timestamps when ACL authority of a lower-level directory or a file of the top-layer directory is acquired. Therefore, consumed time of setting ACLs of directories and subdirectories and files thereof is decomposed into consumed time in ACL querying of the single file or directory, then a recursive setting speed is increased, setting time of the access authority is reduced, and quickly setting the user accessauthority is realized.
