Abstract

The method includes the steps of calculating a program saturation of a video resource by using a formula as shown in the description, where, the on-demand duration i is the total time length during which the video resource is accumulatively played in a preset period, n and i are both positive integers, and the on-demand quantity is the total number of times the video resource is on-demand within the preset period; and evaluating the value of the video resource based on the program saturation. The application calculates the program saturation of the video resource by using the two indicators of the on-demand quantity and the on-demand duration of the video resource, the program saturation can fully reflect the viewing condition and popularity of the video resource, and the information conveyed by the data is richer.
