Abstract

Disclosed is a seat recliner for a vehicle, which comprises: a first plate, and a second plate coupled to the first plate so as to form an internal space and rotating relative to the first plate; a lock gear arranged in the internal space and having outer teeth formed therein and meshing with inner teeth of the first plate or second plate, and a lock cam which moves the lock gear forward or backward through a rotational movement; an input member, one end of which penetrates the first plate and is coupled to the center portion of the lock cam in the internal space so as to transmit a rotational force to the lock cam, and the other end of which is exposed to the outside of the first plate; and an elastic member having a shape in which the elastic member is wound on the outer circumference of the other exposed end of the input member, and caught by the input member at one end thereof and caught by the outer surface of the first plate at the other end thereof so as to provide the input member with a restoring force after the input member is rotated.
