Problems solved by technology

Camphor tree seeds not only have deep physiological dormancy, but also have poor air permeability and germination inhibitors in the seed coat, resulting in low germination rate and irregular germination of camphor seeds, which is not conducive to the large-scale promotion of camphor

Embodiment

[0030] In mid-November 2015, mature seeds of camphor were collected in Yongxiu County, Jiangxi Province. After seed production, the seeds were sown in the seedling base of Nanchang County, Jiangxi Province in February of the following year. The germination rate was about 92%. The method is to collect mature drupes picked from trees or naturally shed in nylon seed bags. Soak the seed bag in clean water for 2-3 days, take it out and rub it with your hands or feet wearing rubber shoes, then float in a bucket to remove the peel and pulp, and get plump seeds that sink to the bottom of the bucket. Then stir the seeds with plant ash, degrease for 12 to 24 hours to remove germination inhibitors; rinse the seeds, dry them and store them in wet sand. Store in small wooden jars or large flower trays. First spread a layer of wet sand with a thickness of 5 cm to 10 cm on the bottom. The water content of the wet sand is as large as holding it into a ball and then loosening it to disperse. ...

Abstract

The invention discloses a seed producing method for increasing germination rate of seeds of Cinnamomum camphora. The method includes the steps of: 1) in the end of October, when stone fruits of the Cinnamomum camphora are purple-black in color, picking the stone fruits from trees or waiting for natural falling of the stone fruits, and collecting the stone fruits in a seed bag; 2) soaking the seed bag in clear water for 2-3 days, taking the seed bag out and kneading the seed bag, floating the seeds in a bucket to remove peels and pulps, thereby obtaining plump Cinnamomum camphora seeds which are deposited on the bottom of the bucket; 3) stirring the Cinnamomum camphora seeds with plant ash to degrease the seeds for 12-24 h and remove germination inhibitors; 4) washing the Cinnamomum camphora seeds, air-drying the seeds, and storing the seeds in wet sand; 5) after about 7 days, spraying water onto the seeds for one time to maintain the temperature to be lower than 15 DEG C; 6) during storage, frequently inspecting the Cinnamomum camphora seeds, if mildew spots appear, washing and rubbing the seeds again, and storing the seeds in fresh and clean wet sands; 7) before seeding, taking out and washing the Cinnamomum camphora seeds, and intermittently soaking the seeds in warm water for 3-4 days. The method can effectively increasing germination rate of seeds.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the field of plant cultivation, in particular to a seed production method for improving the germination rate of camphor seeds. Background technique [0002] Cinnamomum camphor, also known as camphor wood, black camphor, red heart camphor, small leaf camphor, etc., is a precious timber tree species and an excellent landscaping tree species in my country. It is called the four famous trees in the south of the Yangtze River together with Nan, Catalpa and Tong. Approved by the State Council in 1999, it was listed as a second-class national key protected wild plant. At present, sowing is still the main method used in the cultivation of camphor seedlings. The treatment of camphor seeds is the basis for ensuring the emergence rate of camphor and improving the quality of seedlings, which directly affects the effect of seedling cultivation. Camphor tree seeds not only have deep physiological dormancy, but also have poor air permeabili...
