The method includes steps of acquiring road data including a road name; according to a preset road classification rule, setting up a road type table corresponding to the road data; according to the road type, generating index information matched with the road data; through the road type table, the index information and a preset algorithm, coding a POI address, and acquiring the address code of the POI address. Through establishment of the road type table and the generation of the index information, the POI address is rapidly coded through continuous iteration treatment.
