The composite insulator is arranged on the equipotential fitting. The composite insulator realizes isolation from a high voltage lead in operation of the flashover protector body, and the discharge probe and the discharge ring are arranged on the composite insulator and the gap between the discharge probe and the discharge ring is adjustable. The advantages of the line flashover protector are that isolation from the high voltage lead in operation of the flashover protector body can be realized through the composite insulator so that leakage current is ensured not to flow through the flashover protector body in normal operation and the service life of the flashover protector body can be enhanced; and the the discharge probe and the discharge ring are arranged so that the line-to-ground fault is not generated even the flashover protector body is damaged and thus normal operation of the line can be guaranteed.
