The charging method comprises the following steps that after a plug of a charging pile is inserted in a socket of the electric automobile, the charging manner is detected by the electric automobile; when a situation that a high level is generated on an A+ line is detected, the electric automobile determines to adopt a direct-current charging manner, and the electric automobile is charged by the charging pile through the A+ line; or when a situation that the high level is generated on a CP line is detected, the electric automobile determines to adopt an alternating-current charging manner, and the electric automobile is charged by the charging pile through the CP line. When the electric automobile needs urgent charging, the charging pile can adopt the direct-current charging manner to charge the electric automobile; when the electric automobile does not need urgent charging, the charging pile can adopt the alternating-current charging manner to charge the electric automobile. According to the charging method disclosed by the invention, two charging manners can be provided, the required charging manner is selected according to actual needs; the charging manner is flexible; and the requirement of temporarily and urgently charging the electric automobile can be met.
