Abstract

The invention relates to a feature selection method and equipment used for constructing a HME (Hierarchical Mixtures of Expert) system. The method can comprise the following steps of: executing characteristic analysis to features obtained through feature extraction carried out by aiming at a sample; and on the basis of the characteristic analysis, selecting features used for constructing the HME system. According to the invention, an improved method used for constructing the HME system is put forward, the features obtained through the feature extraction are subjected to characteristic analysis, and a feature space constructed by the HME system is restricted on the basis of a characteristic analysis result. The implementation way of the invention can be used for constructing the more accurate HME system.
