Abstract

The invention discloses a method for resolving a domain name, system and server. The method comprises the steps of: a terminal user initiating a domain name query request to a local domain name system (LDNS) server; when the LDNS server inquires a local cache and is not hit, executing the following steps: the LDNS server initiating a query request to an authorized DNS server of the domain name by recursive resolution; the LDNS server receiving the query result from the authorized DNS server; when the query result is abnormal, the LDNS server initiating a query request for the domain name to a public DNS server via an automatic forwarding mechanism; and the LDNS server returning the resolution result received from the public DNS server to the terminal user, and saving the resolution result into the local cache.
