Abstract

The invention provides a method and apparatus for synchronizing audio and video signals. The method comprises the following steps: extracting frame header information of each image frame contained in a video signal; and adjusting the output of an audio signal according to the frame header information of the image frames to maintain synchronous with the output of the video signal. According to the method and apparatus disclosed by the invention, the information of the image frames of the video signal is extracted, the corresponding image frame information is provided to the audio signal, therefore the output of the audio signal can be adjusted to ensure that audio output and video output maintain synchronous, and thus improving the quality of audio-visual programs and enhancing the user experience.
