Abstract

The invention provides a partitioning method of a rich-organic-matter mudstone section and a low-organic-matter mudstone section, which is characterized by comprising the following steps: identifying a silty mudstone in a low-organic-matter mudstone section based on conventional logging data; setting multiple sampling points on the core of the mudstone, and making a whole rock analysis of the sampling points to get the calcium salt content of the sampling points; and identifying a calcareous mudstone in the low-organic-matter mudstone section of a whole well based on the determined coefficients of a linear regression equation. By eliminating the interference of the low-organic-matter mudstone section, the scope of a rich-organic-matter mudstone section is determined effectively.
