Abstract

A method implemented in a system of signal processing for phase-amplitude coupling (PAC) and amplitude-amplitude coupling (AAC), wherein comprises: decomposing a non-stationary signal by an ensemble empirical mode decomposition (EEMD) into a plurality of intrinsic mode functions (IMFs), receiving a phase function and an amplitude function from the IMFs, then comparing the phase function with the amplitude function on a time domain to generate a plurality of scattering plots; furthermore, multiplying the scattering plots by the modulation index to generate a frequency spectrum. The following information will be illustrated the different part of PAC and AAC.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a system and method for non-stationary signal processing to generate meaningful quantization values. Background technique [0002] Previously, analyzing signals, especially nonlinear and / or non-stationary signals, was a very difficult problem faced by many industries. These industries use various computer-implemented methods to process the measurement of data signals or adopt various methods such as electronic, mechanical, optical, biological, chemical methods. Unfortunately, previous methods did not yield physically meaningful results. One of the difficulties found in conventional systems is that the physical process representing the physical signal may suffer from one or more of the following problems, such as too short a data span, non-stationary data, and data representing a nonlinear process. [0003] Various techniques have been applied to nonlinear, nonstationary physical signals. For example, many computer-im...
