Abstract

The invention discloses a multimedia program monitoring method, device and system. The method comprises following steps of when a set top box determines that multimedia programs need to be reported, coding multimedia signals output by the set top box to a television terminal according to an appointed coding format; packaging the coded multimedia signals, thus obtaining a packaged file; sending the packaged file to a monitoring terminal; and monitoring the packaged file by the monitoring terminal. According to the scheme provided by the invention, the monitoring terminal monitors the multimedia program at the set top box side, therefore, a fault can be discovered timely, thus solving the fault timely, and the video watching experience of a user is improved.
