Abstract

The invention discloses a method and a system for restricting a logging-on position, wherein the method and the system relate to the field of communication technology. The method and the system can settle a problem of overhigh restriction degree for a logging-on position of an SIP soft client. According to the method and the system for restricting the logging-on position, a session initial protocol (SIP) uniform resource locator (URL) set which is transmitted by a remote management platform is received through an intelligent household gateway; an SIP URL of the SIP soft client which allows logging-on in the service range of the intelligent household gateway is stored in the SIP URL set; the intelligent household gateway receives a registration request which is transmitted by the SIP soft client; when a first SIP URL in the registration request exists in the SIP URL set in the intelligent household gateway, the intelligent household gateway transmits the registration request to a core network; the intelligent household gateway receives a registration response which is transmitted by the core network; and the intelligent household gateway transmits the registration response to the SIP flexible client. The method and the system provided by the embodiment of the invention is suitable for restricting the logging-on position of the SIP soft client.
