Abstract

A CpG oligodeoxynucleotide (CpG-ODN) is disclosed herein as a potent immunostimulator developed for use as an adjuvant in various species. TLR9 is the cellular receptor of CpG‑ODN, and the currently developed CpG‑ODN has low activity against TLR9 in rabbits. Herein, a CpG-ODN type comprising a GACGTT or AACGTT motif of about 11-14 deoxynucleotides exhibits potent immunostimulatory activity against TLR9 in rabbits and is able to elevate less toxic and potent antibodies in rabbits reaction.
