Maintenance and troubleshooting information of an elevator is built by an internet of things center, and is shared; a periodic detecting plan is made; a detecting instruction is sent to an internet of things module of the elevator; a remote monitoring module in an elevator control system is used for driving detection; when a fault occurs, the internet of things module sends a fault signal to the internet of things center; the internet of things center automatically distributes a task to a mobile terminal of nearby maintainers; and the mobile terminal provides positioning information and time of reaching the task area of the maintainers. The method uses the characteristics of the internet of things for solving remote monitoring management of the maintenance and troubleshooting work of the elevator, and periodically and remotely detects the elevator to prevent the generation of faults of the elevator. When the elevator generates the faults, the nearby maintainers can be timely notified to exclude the faults in site, and can timely exclude the faults and rescue trapped persons for a broken elevator with persons inside.
