AI Technical Summary

Benefits of technology

This patented technology allows for quicker identification of specific compounds from various sources such as soil-based fertilizers that are used on crops worldwide without being detected due to their low effectiveness towards pests. By comparing these databases against each other, we aimed at accurately detecting any harmful substances found within them.

Problems solved by technology

This patents discusses the challenges faced during the development of new methods called Gas Chromatoion Ion Chemistry Mass Spectroscopy ("GCEM"). Current techniques involve either single or multi-stage liquid phase extraction processes followed by inductively coupled plasma atomic absorption spectroscopies. These techniques suffer from poor specificity due to low signal intensity caused by electrostatic interactions between certain compounds and metals contained within these solvents. To address this issue, some researchers developed alternative strategies involving chemically reactive species generated through collisional effects.

Embodiment 1

[0033] A method for detecting pesticides containing electronegative elements using a negative chemical source mass spectrum database, comprising the following steps:

[0034] (1) Establishment of negative chemical source mass spectrum database

[0035] Mainly aiming at pesticides containing electronegative elements such as halogen, sulfur, phosphorus, nitrogen, and oxygen, an organic mass spectral library is established on the negative chemical source of thermofisher gas chromatography-mass spectrometry instrument, including the following steps:

[0036] a. Acquisition of mass spectrogram

[0037] Taking acrinathrin as an example, the purchased standard product of acrinathrin is the solid standard product of Dr. Ehrenstorfer GmbH, batch number 10324, with a purity of 98.0%, and it is accurately weighed with an electronic balance of one hundred thousandth Dissolve 0.01021g of the standard product in an appropriate amount of acetone, transfer it to a 10mL volumetric flask, and ...

Embodiment 2

[0076] Analyze the structural formula of commonly used pesticides, and screen out pesticides containing elements with strong electronegative properties. Retrieve relevant literature and standard methods, and further find out the pesticides that can be detected by gas chromatography or gas chromatography-mass spectrometry.

[0077] Other more than 300 kinds of pesticides, such as: dichlorvos, tetrachloronitrobenzene, profenofos, fluoricon, sulfaphos, chloramine, thizone, etc., according to the method of Example 1, prepare the standards of the required compounds Prepare the standard solution, inject the sample in the negative chemical source full-scan mode on the gas chromatograph-mass spectrometer of thermofisher, and collect the GC-MSD-NCI full-scan mass spectrum of each pesticide.

[0078] Check the above GC-NCI-MS mass spectra, select representative mass spectra with effective information and transfer them to the mass spectral library, and edit the corresponding spectral tex...

Abstract

The invention discloses a method for detection of electronegative element containing pesticides by a negative chemical ionization mass spectrum database. The method includes the steps of: establishment of the negative chemical ionization mass spectrum database and detection of pesticide residue in unknown sample. And establishment of the negative chemical ionization mass spectrum database consists of mass spectrum acquisition and mass spectral library establishment. The database involved in the invention includes full scan mass spectrum data of over 300 common electronegative element containing pesticides in a Thermofisher gas chromatography negative chemical ionization mass spectrum, after installation and operation on a Thermofisher gas chromatograph-mass spectrometer, spectrum library search comparison with an unknown sample can be carried out, or according to the ion information provided by the spectrum library, a selected ion monitoring (SIM) scan mode can be set directly to perform qualitative and quantitative detection on designated pesticides. The negative chemical ionization mass spectrum database is convenient to use, the impurity interference is small, the selectivity is high and the comparison result is accurate.
