Abstract

The invention relates to a lithium-toning manganese-containing colored glass and a sintering method thereof. The lithium-toning manganese-containing colored glass is prepared by sintering 50-88% of silicon oxide, 0-38% of calcium oxide, 0.15% of manganese oxide, 0.34-5.5% of sodium nitrate and 0-150% of a toner lithium oxide. A series of different colors of purple red glass can be obtained by changing the content of lithium oxide without changing of the content of manganese, so same batch glass chromatic aberration caused by manganese valence change due to different atmospheres in the melting process is avoided, thereby the operation is simple; and the addition of sodium nitrate ensures the strong oxidizing property of the melting atmosphere, and guarantees the stability of the coloring effect.
