Abstract

The invention relates to a method for implementing on-screen display (OSD) for menus by the aid of peripheral equipment. A display is provided with a switcher, and a user can press a function key of a shell of the display to switch the switcher to be in a first operation mode or a second operation mode or a third operation mode. The method has the advantages that if the switcher is in the first operation mode, the user can operate the OSD menus of the display by the aid of the peripheral equipment connected with the display; if the switcher is in the second operation mode, the user can operate a first host connected with the display by the aid of the peripheral equipment; and if the switcher is in the third operation mode, the user can operate a second host connected with the display by the aid of the peripheral equipment.
