The cylinder piston 13 can, as intended, assume a first functional position O and a second functional position X, wherein the cylinder piston 13 assumes the second functional position X as soon as the first cylinder chamber 8 is pressurized. Abstract

The invention relates to a door controller for vehicles, comprising a compressor (1), an air drier (3), a door control valve (4), and at least one cylinder (2) that can be actuated by means of compressed air. The invention further relates to a method for actuating a cylinder (2) of a vehicle door, wherein a cylinder piston (13) of the cylinder (2) can assume a first functional position (O) and a second functional position (X). In the drying mode the air flowing into the cylinder (2) flows through the air drier (3), and in the regeneration mode the air flowing out of the cylinder (2) flows through the air drier. The cylinder (2) is loaded only with compressed air from a compressed-air accumulator (7).
