Problems solved by technology

[0005] The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for using turmeric to remediate heavy metal-contaminated soil, so as to solve the problems of short plants, slow growth, low biomass, less total amount of absorbed and accumulated heavy metals, and only a single heavy metal in the existing heavy metal-contaminated soil remediation technology. There are problems such as tolerance and enrichment ability, no good economic benefits, and little comprehensive effect in practical application.

[0019] Example 1 Soil remediation test in polluted mining area

[0020] The test site is the farmland polluted by heavy metals in the mining area of Chenzhou, Hunan. The soil of the farmland is the composite polluted soil of heavy metals Cu, Zn, Pb, Cd, and As (the background value of heavy metals in the soil is shown in Table 1).

[0023] The specific method is: directly sow the turmeric seed stems in the heavy metal-contaminated soil, carry out conventional fertilization, build a frame when the plant height of the turmeric reaches 30 cm, and regularly carry out field management such as weeding and insect removal on the farmland.

[0024] During the growth process of turmeric, samples of turmeric plants in the early flowering stage and mature stage were collected. For the collected turmeric plan...

Abstract

The invention relates to a plant repairing technology of heavy metal contaminated soil, in particular to a method of repairing the heavy metal contaminated soil by utilizing turmeric, solving the problems of short plants, slow growth, low biomass, less total amount of absorbed and accumulated heavy metals, resistance and enrichment capacity to single heavy metal, poor economic benefit, poor actual application comprehensive effect and the like existing in the conventional heavy metal contaminated soil repairing technology. The method comprises the following steps of: directly planting the turmeric in the heavy metal compositely contaminated soil and performing conventional cultivation. The turmeric can normally grow in the contaminated soil, has no obvious poisoning symptoms and dose not affect the root tuber saponin content in the turmeric; the root system of the turmeric is developed, the biomass is large, and a large amount of various heavy metals can be absorbed and accumulated; and particularly, the contents of heavy metals Zn and Cd in fibrous roots are obviously higher than a soil background value to achieve the level of super enrichment. The method has the advantages of simple cultivation, low management cost, capability of benefiting from one-time planting for many years, extremely high medicinal value and capabilities of preventing the heavy metals from reentering a food chain and gaining certain economic income during contamination treatment.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a phytoremediation technology for polluted environment, in particular to a method for remediating heavy metal polluted soil by using turmeric. Background technique [0002] Soil is one of the natural resources that human beings cannot live without, and it is also an important part of the ecological environment. With the development of industry, the aggravation of urban pollution and the continuous progress of agricultural production, the pollution of soil by heavy metals accompanied by foreign organic compounds has become increasingly serious (Pambrun V, Marquot A, Racault.Characterization of the toxic effects of cadmium and3.5-dichlorophenol on nitrifying activity and mortality in biologically activated sludge systems-effect of low temperature[J].Environ Science Pollution Resource.2008,15:592–599.), soil heavy metal pollution has become a serious global environmental problem. Heavy metal pollution will lead to soil degradatio...
