An air conditioner is remotely measured, signaled, controlled and adjusted through the wireless network. The distributed air conditioner monitoring system comprises a central control platform, a gateway for controlling the system, and a wireless complex communication protocol. The wireless networking technology comprises two parts as follows: the free frequency band radio-frequency networking technology is adopted in a local area, and the signal directional relay way is adopted for network expansion in a slightly long distance; the reliability of the communication is guaranteed through a handshaking mechanism, a redundancy mechanism and an automatic frequency hopping mechanism; the safety of data is ensured through an encryption algorithm; a GPRS (general packet radio service) extended wireless network is needed to monitor a wide area; data are transmitted to any one computer linkable to the internet through the GPRS extended wireless network; and an internet appliance protocol with simplicity, practicality and stronger expansibility is adopted.
