Embodiment Construction

[0024] figure 1 Depicts a global view of the device. Aircraft (or plane) 1 crashes on the seabed. Near the point of impact 2 of the aircraft with the water surface, a buoy 3 is depicted drifting on the surface of the sea after being ejected from the aircraft. Position 4 after its radio connection with a remote device represents its drift after ejection. Geolocation satellites 5 allow the buoy to record its drift 6 at regular intervals. Further described are various means of remote communication with the buoy 4 such as maritime patrol aircraft 7 , communication satellites 8 and control stations mounted on land 9 or ships 10 . The symbol 11 indicates the satellite used to locate the distress transmitter (transmitter), which belongs to the international network such as the COSPAS-SARSAT system.

[0025] Devices for collecting data remotely may also consist of aircraft with fixed or rotating wings, communication satellites, submarines, submarines with submerged periscopes.

Abstract

The invention relates to a method and device for the remote collection of data from aircraft or ship recorders using a buoy (3) which can be ejected in the event of sinking and contains a double memory which stores the positions of the buoy during the drift thereof as well as information relating to the flight or crossing. A two-way radio communication means allows the buoy to transfer the contents of said memories to a remote collection means, such as a reconnaissance aeroplane.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for remotely collecting data from an aircraft recorder or ship's recorder. The field of the invention is thus air or sea transport security. [0002] More specifically, the present invention relates to buoys that can be ejected from an aircraft or vessel when the aircraft or vessel is in distress. Background technique [0003] In the event of a plane crash at sea, it is imperative to retrieve the recorder in the cockpit that records flight parameters and audio communications, usually called a black box or Voyage Data Recorder, or VDR for short, in merchant ships. In the event of an accident in deep water, locating the recorder is extremely difficult due to the limited range of the acoustic transmitter used to locate the recorder. So an expensive device is sent to the search area and scans a large wide area for clues. The duration of this operation can be several months, making it very costly. ...
