Abstract

The invention discloses a method for managing power of a portable device. The method for managing the power comprises the following steps of: judging a historical use condition when each hardware module in the portable device previously executes an application program; automatically regulating the power which is supplied to the corresponding hardware module according to the historical use condition when the application program is executed; and completely cutting off the power which is supplied to the hardware module with a low utilization rate when the application program does not need to be used; and reducing the power which is supplied to the hardware module with a high utilization rate. According to each hardware module in the portable device, by the method, the historical use condition can be judged when the application program is previously executed, the power which is supplied to the corresponding hardware module can be automatically regulated according to the historical use condition when the application program is executed, the power which is supplied to the hardware module with the low utilization rate is totally cut off when the application program does not need to be used; and the power which is supplied to the hardware module with the high utilization rate is reduced; and therefore, the method has the functions of saving power and ensuring system effectiveness.
