The method includes connecting each two tested port in one group by physical circuits; configuring forwarding profile for the tested port; forwarding to other ports in the switch in case of receiving a first testing message; reporting to a control surface in case of receiving a second testing message; constructing the first testing message to be forwarded to the tested port by the control surface; constructing the second testing message with priority level higher than the first testing message to be transmitted to the tested port by the control surface after the tested port generates broadcast storm; receiving the second testing message by a second tested port connected with the tested port physically, then transmitting the second testing message to the second tested port, and finally, receiving the second testing message from a testing port; judging connectivity of the two tested ports connected physically by comparing consistency of receiving and transmitting the second testing message.
