An air treatment unit for an automotive compressed air system is provided with the following components: a compressed air input end (4a) which is connected with a compressor; a dryer unit (10) which has a dryer input end (10a) that is connected with a compressed air input end; a conveying check valve (12) which is configured behind the dryer unit in a conveying direction and separates a conveying area (14) from a subsequent system area (15); an exhausting valve (16) which is used for exhausting the dryer input end and is provided with a pneumatic control input end (16a) and can be switched between a shutoff position of the conveying period and a passing position of a regenerating period; a regenerating valve (18) which is shut off in the conveying period and connects the system area with a first regenerating path (20) of a first regenerating throttle plate (23); and a regenerating area (19) which is constructed between the regenerating valve and the pneumatic control input end of the exhaust valve. A following state can be adjusted in the regenerating area, wherein the exhaust valve is open when the regenerating valve is shut off.
