Abstract

The invention discloses an operating point control system and an operating point control method for return-to-zero-differential quadrature phase shift keying (RZ-DQPSK) modulation. The system comprises an automatic bias controller and an optical splitter. A DQPSK modulator and a pulse carver of an RZ-DQPSK modulator are connected with the input end of the automatic bias controller by own photoelectric diodes, and the output end of the automatic bias controller is connected to three DC bias pins of the DQPSK modulator and the DC bias pin of the pulse carver respectively. One end of the opticalsplitter is connected with the DQPSK modulator by an optical fiber, and the other end of the optical splitter is connected with the automatic bias controller and the pulse carver by the optical fiberrespectively. By the system and the method, a bias point can be kept unchanged under the condition of environmental change to fulfill the aim of stably controlling an operating point.
