The method comprises the following steps of: keeping the growth potential of perennial big branches; thin-removing all annual branches, of which the growing length is less than 15cm; keeping branches uncut at an interval of 20 to 25cm for the annual branches which horizontally grow or obliquely grow and of which the growing length is more than 15cm, wherein vigorous branches and moderately vigorous branches are kept and thin and weak branches are thin-removed; thin-removing branches without a growing space from the base for upright water sprouts of which the growing length is more than 15cm; for the upright water sprouts of which the growing space is 20 to 60cm, cutting off four-fifths of or cap-trimming the branches; and for the upright water sprouts of which the growing space is more than 60cm, keeping two-thirds or three-fourths of the braches so as to promote branching and culture bearing branch groups. The trimming method has the advantages of simple operation, simple large-area popularization, stable yield and high efficiency, and meets physiological requirements of the Mopan persimmon trees in the full bearing period.
