Abstract

The invention discloses a method for updating a subtitle in secondary software. The method comprises the following steps: leading in a subtitle template, namely, writing text object attributes defined by the subtitle template into a memory; presenting a subtitle text object in the subtitle template in a quick edit window according to the text object attribute information; receiving the editing operation of a user on the subtitle text object in the quick edit window, wherein, the editing operation comprises separation of text blocks corresponding to different text object attributes by utilizing separators and modification of the text object attributes; updating the text object attributes in the memory according to the editing operation of the user; and determining the text blocks according to the separators, and associating the text blocks with the corresponding text object attributes in the memory for playback. By means of the method, the subtitle editing speed in the secondary software is improved, the system stability is ensured and the user experience is increased.
