Abstract

The invention provides a dual-mode printer which contains both water-based ink and oil-based ink and can be used for printing with the water-based ink or the oil-based ink. The printer comprises a printer body and a guide rail arranged on the printer body; a first printing head, a second printing head and a printing head drive connecting device are slidably arranged on the guide rail, wherein the printing head drive connecting device is arranged between the first printing head and the second printing head; the dual-mode printer also comprises a first ink supply device and a second ink supply device which are respectively communicated with the first printing head and the second printing head and used for supplying ink to the first printing head and the second printing head; the first ink supply device and the second supply device are respectively filled with the water-based ink and the oil-based ink; a first ink suction device and a second ink suction device are respectively arranged on the printer body at two ends of the guide rail; and a connecting mechanism which is used for connecting the first printing head and the second printing head is arranged on the printing head drive connecting device.
