The invention discloses a practical and efficient LED drive circuit, which comprises a direct-current input module, a switch module, a switch drive module, a follow-current storage module, a shaping module and an oscillating feedback module, wherein the direct-current input module inputs the direct-current power supply to the switch module, and then the direct-current power supply after passing through the switch module is output to the follow-current storage module, so that an LED lighting set is driven by the follow-current storage module; the oscillating feedback module outputs oscillating signals to the shaping module; and the shaping module drives the switch module to operate by the switch drive module. A short-circuit protection circuit and a switching circuit in the LED drive circuit are completely independent without any contact, and when the LED drive circuit of the invention is protected, the protection is not affected by the preceding stage and dose not affect the preceding stage, thereby enhancing the reliability of the whole circuit. The LED drive circuit in the invention has the advantages that: through artfully combining self-sustained oscillation, shaping and current feedback, the circuit can be high in efficiency and low in cost; and the short-circuit protection is completely independent, so that the function of the whole circuit is perfect.
