Benefits of technology

This technology prevents users who don't use their devices on certain times during which they are still actively transmitting or accessing important services like emailing emails without having them active again afterward.

Problems solved by technology

Technological Problem: Mobile devices like internet-connected laptops require more bandwidth than regular desktop machines due their limited ability to actively participate in transmitting data over networks without being tied up waiting for new connections when they stop accessing websites that don’t work well (such as those hosted within IP addresses). Additionally, it takes longer if certain types of applications start playing during peak hours compared to normal usage times where many other apps may be active simultaneously.

Embodiment Construction

[0021] The embodiment of the present invention disconnects the network connection when there is no business data transmission (including receiving and sending) for a period of time, so as to prevent the user from remaining in the connected state when not using the network, occupying network resources and increasing the power consumption of the device.

[0022] In this embodiment, service data refers to data related to service content, and data used to maintain a network connection is control data and does not belong to service data.

[0023] see figure 1 , the flow of the main method for controlling the on-off of the data link in this embodiment is as follows:

[0024] Step 101: Detect whether there is service data transmission.

[0025] Step 102: When it is detected that there is no service data transmission within a preset time period, check whether it is in a non-user use state. When it is detected that there is service data transmission, the detection is continued and st...

Abstract

The invention discloses a method for controlling the connection/disconnection of a data link, and is used for saving network resources. The method comprises the following steps of: detecting whether service data is transmitted; when detecting that no service data is transmitted in a preset time period, detecting whether a network is in a non-user using state; and if the network is in a non-user using state, disconnecting the network. The invention also discloses a device for implementing the method.
