Embodiment Construction

[0024] The embodiment described in detail below is a preferred embodiment of the present invention.

[0025] The recording device shown in the figure is the optical part of the device according to the invention, for example for acquiring three-dimensional data of the ear canal. The recording device 1 is here designed cylindrically and has a diameter of approximately a few millimeters (for example 2 or 3 mm). Therefore, the imaging device can move freely in the normal human ear canal at least along the axial direction of the ear canal. In the present example, the recording device 1 is connected by means of glass fibers 2 to a laser which generates the light for the measuring beam. Furthermore, the imaging device is connected, for example by means of a plastic light conductor 3 , to an illumination source which provides light for detecting optical features in the ear canal. In the example described, the illumination source and the laser light are located outside the recording ...

Abstract

In order to comfortably determine a three-dimensional structure of a patient ear, in particular ear canal, provided a device for recording the form of an ear section. The device includes a receiving device (1) for detecting space forms of a first sub section and at least a second sub section of the section to be detected, and detecting sizes of the first sub section and at least the second sub section relative to predetermined optical characteristics of the section to be detected, where the size represents a position. Furthermore, the device includes an evaluation device for obtaining form information of the section to be detected by combination of forms of the sub sections based on detected positions or the sizes representing the position. In particular, several individual pictures can be combined into a three-dimensional picture based on natural characteristics (e.g. skin fleck or vein) in the ear canal.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a device for detecting the structure of a part of the human ear, in particular the ear canal. Furthermore, the invention relates to a method for detecting ear segments. Background technique [0002] For the production of individual housings for in-the-ear hearing aids or for the production of individual otologic plastics, it is necessary to precisely measure and determine the three-dimensional dimensions of the individual ear canals. [0003] Until now, the structure of the ear canal was usually detected by injecting silicone material into the ear canal. The material hardens after a few minutes. Next, the material is removed from the ear canal and scanned to obtain three-dimensional data. However, this procedure is uncomfortable for the patient and generally laborious. [0004] A method for generating structured light is disclosed in the patent document with the application number PCT / EP2008 / 050929. Contents of the invent...
