Abstract

The invention discloses a message flux control method and a base station controller, wherein the method comprises the following steps: after a network processor module in the base station controller puts a message received from an upstream data source module in the base station controller in a corresponding queue, determining whether a caching level value of the queue reaches a preset high threshold value or not; if the caching level value reaches the threshold value, constructing a speed reducing flux control frame and sending the speed reducing flux control frame to the upstream data sourcemodule; after a network control module in the base station controller transfers the message from the queue, determining whether the caching level value of the queue reaches a preset low threshold value or not; if the caching level value reaches the low threshold value, constructing a speed increasing flux control frame and sending the speed increasing flux control frame to the upstream data source module; and reducing or improving the message sending speed by the upstream data source module according to the speed reducing flux control frame or the speed increasing flux control frame. The invention better controls the message sending flux of the base station controller through a feedback mechanism between the network processor module and the upstream data source module in the base station controller.
