Abstract

The invention relates to a formulation for curing apoplexy which can distinguish eight clinical primary symptoms and two root symptoms. The formulation comprises the traditional Chinese medicine formulation of the eight clinical primary symptoms: (1) phlegm syndrome due to wind, static blood, blocking venation; (2) extreme hyperactivity of the liver-yang, wind fire pathogen; (3) phlegm-heat accumulation, wind-phlegm pathogen; (4) wind formation from yin deficiency; (5) phlegm-heat inner closed sense organs of the head; (6) qi asthenia causing blood stasis; (7) phlegm dampness blocking mind mood; (8) primordial qi loosing, mental activity distraction; and the traditional Chinese medicine of the two root symptoms (heat of excess and cold of insufficiency). Firstly, the apoplexy is dialectically divided into eight clinical primary symptoms and is respectively treated with the formulation of the traditional Chinese medicine. After the disease is stable and takes a turn for the better, the eight clinical primary symptoms are classified as the heat of excess and cold of insufficiency which are treated with the traditional Chinese medicine as the root symptoms.
