Abstract

The invention relates to a method for controlling parasites (especially ticks and tsetse flies) through amitraz and bifenthrin, which comprises (a) providing a composite of the amitraz and the bifenthrin with cooperative synergic effective quantity and (b) applying the composite to the animals vulnerable to harm by parasites.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a method of controlling parasites, especially ticks and tsetse flies, by combining amitraz and bifenthrin. Background technique [0002] Ticks are important blood-sucking arthropod parasites that, together with mites, belong to the order Acarina (mite parasites). The tsetse fly is a species of the genus Blood-sucking flies in the order Diptera (Diptera parasites). The veterinary community is faced with the problem of resistance of different tick families to amitraz, organophosphorous (op) and synthetic pyrethroid (sp) insecticides. Now we have found that the blue tick is resistant to amitraz, and in some parts of the world amitraz does not kill the tick at all. In the case of the brown tick, we found that the tick could not be killed by the sp on the market. For the op, we found that both ticks are acquiring resistance to it. As a result, farmers are now applying a rotation of 1 week with sp and 3 weeks with amitraz...
