The invention discloses a weather information indicating system for an expressway section, which comprises a weather information receiving and displaying control device (1) and at least one weather information auto-monitoring station (2), wherein the weather information receiving and displaying control device (1) is arranged in an expressway (18) toll station or an expressway administrative office (19); the weather information auto-monitoring station (2) is arranged alongside each expressway section; the weather information receiving and displaying control device (1) transmits data through the mobile communication network and the weather information auto-monitoring station (2). By adopting a modern mobile communication network (GSM/GPRS/CDMA), the weather information indicating system performs remote monitoring and controlling of the weather information of expressway sections and displays the acquired real-time weather information on an outdoor large screen to guarantee traffic safety. Furthermore, the weather information indicating system adopts low power consumption design and has the advantages of economical, simple, safe and reliable operation.
