Embodiment Construction

[0035] The present invention will be further described below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings and specific embodiments.

[0036] In this manual, the configured bandwidth is configured by the user. By default, the total egress bandwidth is allocated equally by each source port.

[0037] The measured bandwidth, that is, the actual egress bandwidth within a certain time interval, is obtained by measuring the egress bandwidth of each source port within a certain time interval in real time, and is the input for dynamic bandwidth allocation.

[0038] The allocated bandwidth, the bandwidth allocated to each source port by the bandwidth dynamic allocation method of the present invention, includes the sum of the allocated basic bandwidth and the remaining bandwidth, and the remaining bandwidth refers to the remaining egress bandwidth after the total egress bandwidth is allocated by the basic bandwidth. The basic bandwidth allocated to some source ports is equal to the conf...

Abstract

The invention relates to a dynamic bandwidth allocation method for dynamically allocating the bandwidth of exchange network of distributive equipment. The destination end of the exchange network allocates total egress bandwidth to each source port once in every set time interval, and the maximal bandwidth allocated to each source port is the maximal allocated bandwidth of the source port. The bandwidth allocation is based on the congestion state and the measurement bandwidth of each source port, including allocating egress bandwidth satisfying the most basic bandwidth requirement to each source port. If the total egress bandwidth still has remains after allocating the basic bandwidth, the residual bandwidth is allocated to the source ports including the one reporting congestion until all of the bandwidths is allocated and the source port having the maximal allocated bandwidth exits the subsequent residual bandwidth allocation. The inventive dynamic bandwidth allocation method can predict the behavior in a future period according to the measurement bandwidth in the current time, thereby preventing the occurrence of congestion and effectively utilizing the limited egress bandwidth resources.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a computer network technology, in particular to a method and device for dynamically allocating bandwidth of a distributed equipment switching network. Background technique [0002] As we all know, in any network system, the total bandwidth of the system is fixed and limited. Bandwidth is one of the most valuable resources of the system. How to allocate and utilize it reasonably will directly affect the performance and efficiency of the entire network system. Therefore, , how to reasonably design bandwidth allocation is an important issue. [0003] The common flow control mechanism is for one-to-one. The most basic principle is that if the party receiving the traffic is congested, it will send a PAUSE frame to tell the sender to slow down the sending speed. For distributed switching network equipment, it is necessary to consider the many-to-one situation. In the distributed equipment switching network, each network unit (such a...
