Embodiment Construction

[0033] The present invention provides a design of a digital receiver for a WLAN. The digital receiver of the present invention is based on the recognition that modulated data signals having different data rates each require a data demodulation unit and a signal processing path to restore the original data stream. Based on this concept, the digital receiver of the present invention has several data demodulation units, each of which determines a signal demodulation step for a data signal with one or two data rates. See figure 1 , which roughly shows a block diagram of a digital receiver for a spread spectrum communication system according to a typical preferred embodiment of the present invention. figure 1 The shown digital receiver generally includes a derotator (derotator) 101, a channel matched filter (channel matched filter, CMF) 205, a barker code correlator 207, a channel equalizer 102, a CCK correlator and The quantization filter bank 103, wherein the quantization filte...

Abstract

A digit receiver processing modulated signals with multiple data rates includes a sample circuit for receiving modulated signals and outputting digitalized sample signals, a matched filter removing noises from the digitalized modulation signals with first and second data rates and generating same phase signals and phase orthogonal signals, a barker code correlator, a frequency band averager, counter measuring interference of the same band a CCK correlator, coupled to the said averager decoding signals with second and third data rates, a first and second quantification filters.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates generally to a spread spectrum communication system, and more particularly to a digital receiver designed with solutions for processing modulated signals having various data rates in a spread spectrum communication system tune unit. Background technique [0002] IEEE 802.11 wireless local area network (wireless LAN) is the most popular high-speed wireless communication network system today. IEEE 802.11 WLAN uses Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) technology as the main frequency modulation technology. OFDM introduces a multi-carrier modulation technique to encode data bits into multiple sub-carriers. Unlike a single-carrier modulation system, all frequencies in an OFDM system are transmitted synchronously in time. Compared with single-carrier modulation systems, OFDM is in terms of multipath effect immunity, simple channel equalization, and relaxed timing acquisition constraints. Several advantages are p...
