The invention discloses a pollution potential assessment method for a suspected polluted land parcel, and the method comprises the steps: building an index system of a model from the consideration of three dimensions: pollution potential characteristics, transmission paths and receptor risks; endowing original scores according to industry categories, performing score addition and subtraction adjustment on the original scores according to three dimension indexes of pollution potential characteristics, the transmission paths and the receptor risks selected in the step 1, and dividing different risk levels according to a total score T to obtain pollution risk potentials of different sites. The method has the advantages that the pollution potential model perfects a traditional mode which is completed by combining field sampling monitoring in China, and the cost of pollution risk identification of suspected polluted land parcels is greatly saved. A suspected polluted land parcel result identified by using the model can effectively fill a suspected polluted land parcel space-time database, and a beneficial supplement is provided for a management decision department to fully grasp a local suspected polluted land parcel directory.
