The invention relates to a driving behavior safety evaluation system, which comprises a map acquisition module used for acquiring a vehicle driving map and obtaining a speed limit value of a vehicle driving corresponding road section; a vehicle speed detection module which is used for positioning a driving vehicle and detecting the driving vehicle speed of the driving vehicle to obtain vehicle overspeed information; a face monitoring module which is used for monitoring a face image of a driver to obtain head lowering information of the driver when the vehicle runs; a cigarette end monitoring module which is used for acquiring cigarette end information in a compartment to obtain smoking behavior information of a driver; and a traffic sign detection module which is used for detecting traffic information outside the driving vehicle to obtain traffic sign violation information. And the safety evaluation module obtains driving behavior safety evaluation information. According to the driving behavior safety assessment system, the driving behavior is assessed by acquiring the driving behavior of the driver, so that the problem of serious consequences caused by bad driving habits of the driver in the driving process is limited.
